Welcome to Elopement Buddy (“we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and services. By creating an account or using Elopement Buddy, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services Provided

Elopement Buddy is a software platform designed for elopement professionals. Features may include proximity alerts, messaging, planning tools and vendor coordination. We may update or change features from time to time.

2. Accounts and Access

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
  • Vendors access updates through magic links and are not required to pay for use.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under it.

3. Plans and Billing

  • Elopement Buddy offers Free, Pro and Studio plans.
  • All paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe.
  • Prices are fixed for 12 months from the date you sign up, even if we change pricing later.
  • There are no annual plans.

4. Refunds and Guarantee

  • New subscribers are entitled to a full refund within 7 days of initial signup.
  • Refunds do not apply after this period or for subsequent billing cycles.
  • To request a refund, please contact us through our support page.

5. Fair Use

To maintain quality of service:

  • You may not create multiple free accounts to bypass plan limits.
  • You may not misuse or interfere with the system (e.g. entering false event data).
  • We reserve the right to restrict or suspend accounts that breach fair use.

6. Cancellations and Termination

  • You may cancel your plan at any time through your account settings. Your access will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the service or fail to pay subscription fees.

7. Data Protection

Your use of Elopement Buddy is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect your information.

8. Intellectual Property

  • Elopement Buddy, including all software, design and content, is owned by us and protected by law.
  • You may not copy, modify, distribute or resell any part of the platform without our permission.

9. Disclaimers

  • Elopement Buddy is provided “as is” without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free service.
  • We do not guarantee accuracy of third-party data such as weather or travel times.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages (such as lost profits, lost data or lost opportunities).

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on our website. Continued use of the service means you accept the new Terms.
